This area of the Italian Alps bordering Austria is a UNESCO heritage site known for its pristine and jaw-dropping beauty. The Alps here rise dramatically above the verdant valleys and lush vineyards below. The area is full of all kinds of health-oriented outdoor activities, as well as spas and spa hotels. Food and wine lovers make the pilgrimage here to see the mountain-hugging vineyards, taste the stunning wines and unique, Tyrolean culinary traditions.
